    Product Introduction

The NSPV Solar MCB Lockout is a professional-grade safety lockout device engineered specifically for small circuit breakers (MCBs) used in solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. Designed by NewSun PV (NSPV), this compact yet robust lockout ensures that circuit breakers remain securely in the OFF position during maintenance, servicing, or emergency shutdown procedures. The product is manufactured from high-tension aluminum alloy, providing an excellent balance of lightweight durability and corrosion resistance — a critical requirement for outdoor solar installations exposed to harsh environmental conditions. The NSPV MCB Lockout is available in a clean white finish, making it highly visible on any electrical panel, and comes in a convenient package of 100 PCS per bag with a total package weight of just 0.48 kg (0.99 lb.).

    LOCK of MCB

    Our Features

    • Routine maintenance of solar combiner boxes and inverter DC/AC disconnects
    • Emergency shutdown procedures requiring immediate and verifiable isolation
    • Multi-person lockout/tagout (LOTO) operations on rooftop and ground-mounted arrays
    • Commissioning and decommissioning of solar installations

    Our Advantages

    1. Superior Material Quality — Made from high-tension aluminum alloy, the NSPV MCB Lockout resists deformation, cracking, and corrosion far better than plastic alternatives. This ensures long-term reliability even in outdoor solar arrays exposed to UV radiation, moisture, and extreme temperatures.
    2. Wide Operating Temperature Range (-40℃ to +85℃) — Unlike many competing lockouts that become brittle in cold or soften in heat, the NSPV aluminum lockout maintains structural integrity across the full IEC-rated temperature spectrum, making it ideal for global solar deployments.
    3. Fast & Secure Installation — The 3-step application method (position → grub screw tighten → padlock) allows electricians to secure a circuit breaker in under 30 seconds, minimizing downtime during maintenance operations.
    4. Enhanced Safety Compliance — The built-in padlock hole supports multi-worker lockout procedures, ensuring that no single person can re-energize the circuit. This aligns with OSHA 1910.147 and IEC 60364 safety standards.
    5. Lightweight & Cost-Effective — At only 0.48 kg per 100 pieces, the product is easy to transport and stock on-site. The aluminum construction provides premium durability at a competitive price point, reducing total cost of ownership for solar EPC companies.

    Application

    1. Place the circuit breaker in the OFF position (Figure 1).
    2. Place the Lockout over the circuit breaker toggle as shown (Figure 2).
    3. Using a small screwdriver, tighten the internal grub screw securing the Lockout onto the toggle (Figure 3).
    4. Place a lockout padlock through the hole as shown (Figure 4).
    5. Verify that the circuit breaker toggle is securely fastened and cannot be switched on (Figure 5).

The aluminum construction ensures the device withstands outdoor UV exposure, rain, dust, and temperature extremes typical of solar farm environments, guaranteeing reliable performance throughout the system's 25+ year lifespan.
